Writing your new life story…

You and I each have a story that at some point helped define who we believed ourselves to be.  Have you ever thought what the content and theme of your “story” has been.  As I look back through the years, mine has always focused on abandonment and loss.  This story or theme has permeated my very life for years.  Over the years I have continued to tell (and believe) this story long after it has ended.  I am learning to liberate myself from this belief.  I realize now that I was drawing energy from this belief that never served me.  By not being fully conscious we can become mesmerized by our own story.  I realize that as I told it often enough it took on a life of its own and I ended up believing that was who I was…a victim of abandonment.  The result of believing a false story is that it limits the believer.  I have begun writing a new story, one that has stripped the word abandonment from my vocabulary.

Is it possible to bloom in the desert and rewrite your story?  I believe it is and this new story is full of amazing possibilities.  Today as you write examine the story you have been telling all your life.  Did the story become your history and your point of identity?  Begin writing a new story, a new day has begun…
