If we let them, photographs can remind us of the essence of the people we love. A stranger might not see the beauty we see, but friendship gives us the gift of sight. Linger over your photographs. Let them guide you toward seeing the depth of compassion and gratitude and grace that reside within the people you love. As you collect these photographs on your your memoir pages, celebrate the important people in your life! Linger over your photographs and begin to write…
Tammy, such a timely commentary. My brother is coming to visit me from North Carolina next month – he’s my only family and I’m so excited. Our father was a fabulous photographer and I have most of his hundreds of black and whites from the 1930s on – Palestine, South America, Appalachia – old barns, landscapes, wildlife and flowers, etc. I can’t wait to go through these with him while he’s here, it’ll be the first time we’ve ever had this opportunity. It will be profound.
wow, what a wonderful treasure chest of photos you have! I love old photos, treasure each of them! I know you and your brother will have a great time!
