Wine, Women and Writing…

I never thought that combining wine, women and writing could be so much fun!  Friday my long awaited wine-workshop was a huge hit!  There were 10 of my students who made the journey up the hill to Warner Springs, CA.  We met at the beautiful winery called Shadow Mountain which is owned by Alex and Pam.  When we arrived Pam had some coffee brewing and we began our first section in our writing notebooks.  At 11 am we decided to break to enjoy wine tasting in the beautiful vineyard setting.  The women loosened up (actually they didn’t need much loosening!) and we enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal loving prepared by Pam.  Then, more writing! The workshop material was excellent, 30 pages surrounding the theme of how to better be prepared to write your memoir, lovingly created by me.  Finally at 2 pm we had an amazing tour of the makings of wine by winemaker Alex.  After a final stop through the tasting room we headed back down the hill happy and united.  I look forward to my next great event at Shadow Mountain Winery…

  1. Tammy, I had such a great time. The setting, the people, and your materials inspired me so much, I feel really motivated to push myself harder to get my thoughts down on the page. Thanks for a “wonder-full” day!
