What matters to you?

Another beautiful aspect of writing is that you get to say what matters most to you.  Once we are gone what we leave behind is those things that we have touched.  We leave behind what we value, but unless we write down our heart’s words what will others say mattered the most to us.

Those of you who are my Facebook friends know that I post lots of pictures of Courtney and of course I usually post pictures of my daily runs.

The things that matter of course to me are not always the obvious.  I of course love my family, my friends and my sweet dog Courtney.  But what also matters to me is that I make right choices.  It matters to me that I make a difference in the lives of those I meet.  It matters to me that I live with integrity and few regrets.  It matters to me that when I go to sleep at night I can count many encounters with others that I have made a difference in their lives.

What matters to you?  Why not spend some time reflecting on your values and what it is that you love and what words would you like to leave behind?
