What do you cherish?

I have always loved Winnie the Pooh.  As a child I can remember reading the Winnie the Pooh books and falling in love with his sweet character.   This picture touches my heart as I look at little piglet and Pooh walking hand in hand.  The day is blustery and looks as though if Winnie the Pooh didn’t have a tight grasp on little piglet he might blow away.

I was thinking what a beautiful quote because as we all know we have lost something in our lives whether it be a person or a beloved pet.  The memory stays with us and we can keep them close to us in our hearts.

Several of my friends have suffered losses these last few months.  One of my students lost her only son (he is the age I am) and another friend had to put her dog to sleep a few days ago.  As a friend I feel the sadness and the loss but only they know the deep, deep pain that comes with losing their loved one.

So today I want to encourage you to write about what you cherish.  What do you hold in your heart today?  Take those memories of your loved ones that are no longer with you and know that a piece of them will always stay with you.
