The gift of contemplation…

Yesterday I wasn’t able to get my run in until the afternoon due to a day full of appointments.  I headed out with my earphones in my ears and turned into my favorite station.  I was “planning” on a relatively short run, maybe 4-5 miles, but as I headed out I began to contemplate.

I ran a different route than I normally run, I usually take my run towards the mountain and run alongside it all the way to the entrance of Indian Canyons.  Wanting to try something different I headed to the right instead of to the left.  In my head I was considering my upcoming blog that I want to write about reflections of 2011.

I got into my zone and before I knew it the sun was setting and I had run all the way to the outskirts of town right to the windmills.  Heading back I realized it would be dark by the time I got home and as I “wrote” my upcoming blog in my head I realized that the year 2011 has been one of my most amazing years that I have ever lived.  I look forward to sharing with you later about my “year in review”.  Until then, consider this year 2011 and write and reflect upon your year.
