As I have looked through the various avenues of my life I realize how very blessed I am to have the friends I have. I have enjoyed many friendships throughout my 47 years, but the friendships I have cultivated since moving to Palm Springs nearly 4 years ago are perhaps my most precious. I have a wide variety of friends. And I realize as a writer I need a lot of solitary time to write and contemplate. I love my time alone as well as time spent in the company of my friends.
The other day while I was on my run I thought of all the women who have come through my life that I call my friends and I am blessed to have each one of them.
Today in your writing think about the different friends you have in your life and take some time to thank them!
Okay, Kid, I will now take time to thank you for coming into my life, even if it is on the late side. I must thank Diane for pushing me to writing workshop, and by the way — where is she? And to think, I will be getting my MASTERS on Friday. I hope I can get through all the classes you have to offer. I love it all. You gave a new kind of life for me. Love you, Tammy
Your old (in age only but young at heart) Melitas
Melitas, you have added so much to my life. I am grateful for every chance I have to be around you. Thanks for working so hard on your stories, and your weekly blog is always such a hit!
