Notice the small things in life…

photo (27)cdog and catEver since Courtney was a little puppy she was always fascinated with cats…the problem was cats were never fascinated with her.  She used to walk up to them slowly… then she would slowly wag her tail and just as she gained their trust she would leap at them with all her excitement.  The cats of course would run away leaving her wondering what she did wrong.

Now that Courtney is blind she no longer sees the “cats” in her life.  Pictured with Courtney is my friends cat, Lily.  Lily is not fond of anything “dog” but she has taken a liking to Courtney.

It does make me sad for Courtney as what she has always wanted, a cat friend, she now has but doesn’t realize it.

I always learn lessons from my dog, today I realize that I want to appreciate the small things in life and appreciate those who I have in my life that I can see.
