Moving forward with conviction…

Each day we are hit with choices.  I often wonder how many choices we make in one single day.  From the time I get up in the morning I have choices.  I make a choice on which pair of shorts to wear on my run, then I make a choice of how far I want to run, then I choose where I want to run…and that is just the beginning of my day.

Making a choice is similiar to a commitment, but not so binding.  Making a choice is the moment before moving forward, when we choose the direction in which we’re going to move.  It is an absolutely necessary step before you can move forward with conviction.

Today in your writing I want you to examine those times you have moved forward with conviction and those times you have not.  What has stopped your commitment?  Many times I will have women come to me wanting to write their life stories and somewhere along the process they stop.  Many times life gets busy and gets in their way.  I have also seen many women with the most busy lives make their commitment to write their life stories with conviction and in the midst of life have followed through and have continued to write amongst the distraction of the busyness of the day.

Let’s all make a commitment that in what ever areas we choose, to make that choice and then do it with conviction!
