MONDAYS WITH MELITAS                                                    AUGUST 13, 2012

Hey, my Wonderful Gang of Followers:  Please visit here tomorrow to run across my MONDAY WITH MELITAS ON TUESDAY.  I was so bummed out, tired out, out of sorts, out of it,  just  plain out;  and so I could not complete my story in time for Tammy’s Sunday deadline.  You will then read my blow by blow description of the waning moments of the London Olympiad — from where I sit, or rather from where I was mostly laid out on the davenport.

Incidentally, when was the last time you heard the word “davenport?”

  1. Mena,

Now, I can’t wait for Tuesday. Love, Maxine

  2. What is a davenport?

  3. 2 weeks of excitement and breathholding moments, these amazing athletes are inspirational and deserve standing ovations…… just like the forerunners, who inspired Title 9. How great to see the amount of women that captured the hearts, of Americans, and the gold medals. your posts are fun, thanks…… janice
