Mondays with Melitas – April 7, 2014

A QUESTION:                                                                      APRIL 7, 2014

Well, it could be the fact that it’s getting down to the nitty-gritty, and I have to really get serious.  As of this very moment, I have an undercurrent of thoughts continuously circulating through this much-used skull of mine, and that I have to really zero in about getting around on my feet and legs in an upright position.  However, I don’t have too much control when something drops on the old cranium, and sends me off to the ER, but if the lower appendages reacted properly I could easily hop out of harm’s way.

No more Humpty-Dumpty’s — Dr C may not be able to put me back together again.

  1. Great paragraph….oh dear how I associate my thoughts with yours. I knew I should have bought that tee shirt that read, “Getting old is not or sissies”. I look in the mirror and wonder who is that old man staring back at me. I don’t walk anymore – I shuffle along with a walker and oxygen tank. Just to think I used to jump up on people’s dining room tables and do the Charleston at the drop of a hat….It’s like the Bob Dylan song “The Times – They are a Changin’ ” I love the pic of you…elegante for sure. Be well and happy. I miss you. Love Pedro

  2. Well, you always have the warden to push you out of the way of falling objects to save that old cranium. We need it to keep working in order to provide all of your devotees with entertainment and history. Besides you need to stay around long enough to write your first book. Hope it has pictures! Love Billi

  3. Another great post!
And I love the picture 😉

  4. I just love Melitas! She is a one of a kind icon! So blessed to know and be around her!

  5. Need to tell the story of how much fun we had at the ER. Who else could take a trip to the ER and come home and laugh about it? Only you. Thanks for keeping me laughing. Almost birthday time…are you ready? Love, Marcie

  6. Melitas,
It was so nice meeting you today and spending some time talking to you and hearing your stories. Loved reading your blog and am anxiously awaiting another edition.
