It’s raining cats and dogs…and there were poodles in the road…

Yesterday morning I awoke to dark clouds moving into the sky…my past perspective would have shifted and my bright mood would have transformed with the clouds.  I would have found myself feeling a bit down or depressed.  As a child rainy days would have meant no bike riding, skateboarding, rollerskating and definitely no pogo sticking.  I would have found myself stuck in the house feeling “bored.”

Now as an adult, my perspective has changed.  I am sure this is due in part to living here in a beautiful part of the world where literally the sun does shine about 360 days of the year.  I welcomed it, my first reaction was to want to stay in my cozy jammies and have a dog or two or three or four curl up with me all morning.

I thought about the idea of the word “perspective” how it can change as we grow.  Think about how things you once thought were ugly or difficult changed as you grew older and wiser.

I would love for you to take out your journal and consider the word perspective and see what comes to mind.

My ability to view something has changed, sometimes according to learning from others, sometimes through my own experiences I have grown and changed my perspective on things.
