When my daughter sent me this picture yesterday it made me think…

The picture of course is little Courtney’s footprints after she was walking on her little grass patch.

Each time we enter somebody’s life we leave our footprints, or our impressions on them.

What are the impressions you are leaving behind?

My intention this year is to leave a positive impression on every person who enters my life.

I make it a point to welcome every student who enters my office.  I want them to feel comfortable and open to share their life not only with me but with their classmates.  It is  important in writing memoir that one feels comfortable.

Some people enter our lives for such a short period of time that the footprint leaves a brief impression and then may fade away.  Others are in our lives for a long time and the impression we leave with them is more lasting.

Think  for a moment of some of the impressions others have left on your heart.  Some people leave great impressions and others not so much.

What do you think is the first impression you leave with somebody?

Look inward and what do you think your impression is that you leave with someone?

Write about it today and reflect on this and make a difference in the life of those who enter your world!
