Fur Children

What would life be like without our fur children?  If you have a dog or a cat then you may be able to relate to my post today.  As I am writing this, my fur child, Courtney is playing at my feet with her “baby.”  Baby is this green thing that squeeks.  It is like a round ball with two feet attached to it.  She is never far from her baby.  When it is meal time she will run and get “baby” before she takes her first bite.  At bed time “baby” is usually near.

Courtney has the most beautiful brown eyes and of course I am in love with her.  So Courtney I dedicate this song to you my little love-bug:

Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they’re not shining
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying

She’s so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Yeah I know, I know
When I compliment her
She wont believe me
And its so, its so
Sad to think she don’t see what I see

But every time she asks me do I look okay
I say

When I see your face
There’s not a thing that I would change
Cause you’re amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you’re amazing
Just the way you are

  1. Perfect! Fur babies love unconditionally, never judge, and make a house a home. And I agree-Courtney IS beautiful, just like her Mommy! 🙂

  2. Thank you Jen, Courtney had such a nice time getting chased around by Darby and Rowdy…they are so adorable! Looking forward to our next “play date”!

  3. I had Teddy read this homage to Courtney today. He said “right on” with his two front paws!
