I have been reading Walden by Henry David Thoreau.  I find I have a lot in common with Henry.  He loved spending time alone and contemplating and so do I.  In one of his journals he records: I find it wholesome to be alone the greater part of the time.  To be in company, even with the best, is soon wearisome and dissipating.  I love to be alone…

I can understand his words, I love my friends, but I also truly love my alone time.  It is when I sit with self that I can truly just be.  Henry spent two years at Walden Pond reflecting and journaling and he wrote: “I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that as one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”  What are your dreams?  Are you advancing confidently towards them?  What are you imagining that you may not have imagined before?  Spend some quiet time reflecting on these questions today.
