To me, one of the greatest features of facebook is that I have found a whole community of writers.  I love meeting my new fb friends and knowing that we all have this one thing in common.  We all may live in different parts of the country and world, but we all know what it is like to have a deadline looming or to stare bravely into the white page.  Writing is of course a very solitary activity, but when I am ready to emerge and connect I have so many to connect with.  What does your community look like?  Where do you find community?  How can you build your community?

Today in your writing examine your own community.  What do you look for in other friends?  Do you like having a common bond or do you prefer to be the only writer in your group?  If you would like to build more of  a community around you what are some steps that you can take this week to build that community!
