I think one of the many reasons many of us are drawn to writing is that it makes us feel alive. Suddenly, we start noticing more details we had previously overlooked. As we combine life examination with creative expression, we have a new appreciation for life’s gifts. In addition, many of us have not been encouraged as adults to be creative, so the chance to express ourselves artistically is freeing. Writing helps us fight the stagnation by teaching us new ways to see and experience our lives.
One of the details that I have been noticing lately is the wonderful caliber of women who attend my workshops. I am grateful and appreciative of all my students who open up and grow and share their beautiful lives with me.
