2 days of no pictures!! oh my!!

I have been an avid writer all of my life, and a lot of that is due to a teacher I had in 2nd grade that gave me the love of writing.  In her class we would write our stories and then a few parent volunteers would put our stories together in books that were bound by ugly contact paper and brads.  These books were precious to me because they were my own thoughts and words and pictures made into my very own book.  But my very first “book” was when I was in first grade and that was a book called “My Book About Me” by Dr. Seuss.  My teacher copied the pages for us and we filled in the blanks.  One page asked us about our freckles and how many we had and I wrote: “I think I have one freckles.”

It was these early years that my passion was building for the written word.  It was then that I begin to expericnce the same feelings I feel today when I put my words down on paper.

During the year of 2011 I have not only been writing (whether it is personal letters, emails, curriculum or journal writing and memoir) I have also been photo journaling my life.  Pictures can bring me right back to moments and memories and situations.

But, December 24 and 25th no pictures were taken.  These two days were spent sick, sick, and more sick.  I somehow got a terrible stomach flu and was very ill.

But hooray, as all things pass, so did the bug and now I am back on the mend.  Not quite 100 percent, but took a few days off running and now back at it~

As you consider your journey think about the power behind the words and pictures of your life.
