A quote by Anna Quindlen:

“It is so easy to waste our lives: our days, our hours, our minutes.  It is so easy to take for granted the color of the azaleas, the color of our kids eyes, the way the melody in a symphony rises and falls and disappears and rises again.  It is so easy to exist instead of live.”

This week focus on and think about ways in which you can truly raise your level of living.  It may be in the morning when you first wake up and write at least three things you are grateful for or looking forward to that day.   Or try this exercise at the end of the day and reflect upon at least three things you were grateful and what experiences or people really lifted your spirit.  Look for opportunities this week to practice random acts of kindness.

This is my first assignment for my new “gig” at the Lucy Curci cancer center at Eisenhower for their writing for wellness class.  I hope you all look for ways to live instead of exist…
