I treasure close up photographs of the people I love.  It is the beginning of satisfying my desire to know them deeply.  I was able to spend this past weekend with Andrea’s brother Bill, his wife Beth and their amazing son, Brendan.  Last night I was able to look at the photographs of our time together and smile as I see the joy in each of their faces.  When we take a picture of someone, we are saying, “I see you.  I behold you.”  We are saying, “This moment matters.  You in the moment, matter.  Can I preserve this?”  Photographs make time stand still and heighten our awareness.  They help us love the moment-and each other.

Today in your writing think about the things you treasure.  Tell those you love that you love them…appreciate the moments of time shared with loved ones…
