I have always been a huge fan of story telling.  I could sit and listen to a good story teller all day.  One of the many reasons why I love to visit with Melitas is to listen to her stories.  She not only tells great stories, but she is so cute when she tells them.  And at the age of 94 she has a lot of stories in her.

One of the reasons I love what I do is that I am honored to hear so many of my student’s stories.  I love the connection that happens between all that are a witness to the story. 

I have said this before, but let me say it again…I read several years ago that comment in the Los Angeles Times that said the death of an older person is like the burning of a library.

Please consider writing your story.  There is only one life lived in all of time like yours and that is told by you. 

Whether you come to my workshops or just write on your own, there is a magic and a healing that happens when you put your words on paper.
