sunflower seeds…

Isn’t it amazing how something so small can bring back so many powerful memories?  Take sunflower seeds for instance.  I haven’t had sunflower seeds since???  For some strange reason last week I was in the store and I bought some.  Putting a handful in my mouth and spitting out the shells immediately transported me back tothe days when I was a kid.  I can still remember being about only 10 or 11 and sitting in the family room on a Saturday night eating sunflower seeds and drinking pepsi and watching Love Boat, Fantasy Island and then of course my favorite, the Carol Burnett Show.  Food is a wonderful tool to take you back into your memory banks of those times in your life.  Why not take a moment and think about the things you used to eat as a kid.  Hey??? Is that a slurpee over there?  Gotta go!
