There’s one thing we all know about movement: somewhere along the line there will be grieving, forgiving, mourning, releasing.  There will be dark times along with the times of celebration.  There will be times when we discover our inner strengths.

Growth means embracing every moment, not just the fantastically exciting or stimulating ones.  It also means accepting sadness and disappointment as part of life, and embracing the gifts that struggle and time will bring.  I doubt the day will come when I welcome difficult times with the same joy I welcome celebrations.  When sadness creeps into my life, my first instinct is to squash it.  Find more happiness.  Look on the bright side.  But the longer I live, the more I see that sadness is as much a part of life as happiness is.  Life-a full life-is about both.
