My Tribe Celebrating our 1 Year Anniversary!

Melanie, Wendy, Annie and Pia

Last August while I was on a bike ride I was listening to Don Miguel Ruiz speaking about the 4 Agreements.  It was during this bike ride that I began thinking about putting together a small group of friends that would be my “tribe”.  The four women pictured to the right are the women who immediately came into my consciousness.  Some of these 4 women did not know each other, but they all knew me because they had taken my workshops.  I approached each one with my intention and they all said yes!  A year ago we had our first tribe meeting and this past Monday we just celebrated our one year anniversary.  I was struck by the fact that when I thought of my “tribe”, I thought it was a good idea, not really understanding the true meaning of what a GREAT idea it would be!

I am a strong believer in building your tribe.  I am forever grateful to my tribe and the love and support we all have for each other.
Have you thought about building your tribe?  I think forming my tribe has got to be one of the best decisions that I have ever made…I love these women!!

One of the workshops that I teach is on awareness and enlarging your vision.  So many times I find myself on auto-pilot.  I go through the motions and before I know it my day has ended.  I want to live a life that is fully aware.  Last night I had a meeting with my “tribe.”  My “tribe” is a group of 5 other women that I handpicked.  We meet twice a month and right now we are studying the book “The Fifth Agreement” by Don Miguel Ruiz.  Last night we talked about the first agreement which is being impeccable with our words.  I love it how the universe works.  If you set your intention on something you will have multiple opportunities to practice.  Today, this week, this month, and this year I want to set my intentions to be more aware.  I want to be aware of I want I say, what I think and the actions I do.  Today in your writing what would you like to be more aware of?  I want to encourage you to set your intentions today in your writing and be mindful of them throughout the day!
