This morning had an amazing early morning yoga class, then a fantastic breakfast with my great friend, Dr. Virginia Simpson. One of the things that I love about Ginni is her wisdom. She always shares the greatest quotes and if you ever want a book recommendation, she is my go-to girl. Here is a great quote she shared with me today taken from the book: How to Survive the Loss of a Love:
“She asked me if seeing you was a drain.
Seeing you is not a drain.
It’s a sewer.”
I love this little gem of a book, although it was written years ago, here are some other great quotes from the book:
“I am the nicest thing I could ever do for myself.”
“The forgetting is difficult. The remembering is worse.”
“The world outside is a mirror, reflecting the good & bad, joy & sorrow, laughter and tears within me. Some people are difficult mirrors to look into, but you…I look at you and see all the beauty inside me.”
And finally:
“We are such good friends you and I. After being with you for only a little while, I no longer relate to sadness.”
Cheers to all of our friends in our lives!
