I wore this on my arm a week ago Sunday at the Portland Half Marathon.  My tribe member consists of four amazing women who I call my friends.  I thought of these four throughout the run (seemed like 1o miles of hills, oy!) and this past sabbath at temple Rabbi Sally spoke of something I had not heard before.  She called it Lashon Hatov which translates to mean: good speech, not so much as to give compliments, but finding good things to say about other people on a regular basis.

I think practicing Lashon Hatov is something we all should strive for.  It is so easy to pick up on negative conversations and to speak poorly of others.  I am setting a goal to practice Lashon Hatov and may the words of my mouth be a gift to those who hear it.
