I am honored to be on the board of the Palm Springs Writers Guild and my position is that I am in charge of the Junior Writers Guild.  My job is one that I am in charge of 3 mentors for 3 of the local middle schools here in the Desert Sands Unified School District.  I was excited to attend my first meeting with my mentor, Patricia yesterday.  It is really fun to be around 6th-8th graders who are excited about writing.  I got really hooked into writing with my 4th grade teacher and I always felt that if we can pass along that love of writing to students it would be a great accomplishment.  I am excited to see all the great things we can do together!
