Speaker: Lynne Morgan Spreen
After a career in Human Resources, Lynne Morgan Spreen followed her dream in middle-age and became a freelance writer, webmaster, computer teacher, blogger and novelist. Her blog, AnyShinyThing.com, relates to finding your power after middle age, and has the tagline: “It’s half your life. Stop apologizing.”
Apparently she’s hit a nerve because she has 850 subscribers.
Her debut novel, Dakota Blues, was published a few months ago. It’s about a middle-aged woman who thinks she’s got the world figured out, but then everything blows up and she must find the courage to change and start over again. Lynne says the empowerment of women in the second half of life is the issue that most drives her, and about which she hopes to blog, write, and speak for the rest of her life.

Fashion: Corinne Abramowitz
Corinne’s Story
Working a full time job in the fashion industry as a footwear designer is amazing! But I was longing for something to call my own. I stumbled upon Stella & Dot and fell in love. The fact that I can style a group of women and make them happy and feel good about themselves, feels so good. I can leave a Stella & Dot Trunk Show knowing that these 10 women left happier than they came in, and it tells me that I’ve done my job! Styling women makes me happy! I continue to design shoes by day and my weekends are filled with lots of jewelry and happy ladies.
Stella & Dot, an Inc 500 Fastest-Growing Company, is a social selling company that creates flexible opportunities for women to be work from home entrepreneurs. We believe everyone deserves great style, fun and opportunity in their everyday lives, and we’re dedicated to providing it in a personal way. That’s why we sell our line exclusively through friendly Stella & Dot Stylists online and at in home trunk shows. Customers and hostesses adore the style, and each Stylist is able to build their own flexible, modern business on a foundation of irresistible product and exceedingly personal service. I love the fashion, the flexibility, the fun and being a part of this amazing community of women.
