Many of my students have compassion…compassion for animals, their friends, the world…but examine a little deeper and see how much self-compassion you have.  I find that I can have a lot of compassion for many but sometimes not as much when it is towards self.  Why is that?  Why is it hard to be vulnerable and loving to self more than it is to others?  This weekend during my meditation I plan on being vulnerable with myself and very reflective as I look inward.  I know that to be truly authentic I need to examine my beliefs and acknowledge my vulnerabilities and REALLY appreciate my WHOLE self.  It is really in this way that I can really and only be truly compassionate to others.  It starts with me.

Today in your writing look inward and see
