When you feel creatively paralyzed (maybe you haven’t written for awhile, or are struggling with difficult emotions, or you are just doubting your abilities), you can start within the privacy of your journal.  Instead of jumping into a full-blown project, begin with a photograph that resonates with you, and start writing your thoughts and feelings about it.  Or just write what is on your mind.  Your topic might be about you or someone else.  It might be emotional or intellectual.  But no matter the topic, as you relax into the process, it will awaken a creative spark that will evolve naturally into your next page.

Today in your writing be mindful about what you are feeling.  What thoughts seem to be on the forefront of your emotions?  Write about what you are observing about your thoughts.
