What tugs at your heart?

I got an email yesterday from one of my close friends Dorys letting me know that her beloved Tugger had to be put to sleep the day before.  The picture to the right is my last visit with this sweet little dog who was almost 17 years of age.

When I first met Tugger I asked Dorys if he was a puppy because he was so youthful looking.  But now that I think about it, he was just like his mom…my friend Dorys.  Although I won’t say Dorys’ age, she is the most young thinking woman and friend that I know.  She is not only hip with her attitude but also with her dress.

My heart aches for her today as I know she is feeling the sadness of losing her special family member.

Today in your writing think about the special pets you have had throughout your lifetime.
