The Universe…

I am amazed at how the universe supports me…from the women I meet to the workshops I teach…it still gives me goosebumps to know that I am in the right spot doing the right thing at the right time.  I love how the universe works in giving me exactly what I need at just the right time.  Synchronicity and Karma…two very different things, but believe and love both of them!

Writing provides a space of freedom to choose what we want, the way we want, without worrying about offending or compromising, without winning or losing, without being the “best” or “perfect.”  Each choice is a discovery, another piece of knowledge about ourselves made visible.

Hiking and Thinking…

Yesterday we went hiking on a beautiful trail here in the central coast.  The weather was gorgeous and as we hiked I spotted something my mom showed me when I was younger.  I don’t know what they are called, I will have to look it up, but she showed me how to make scissors out of this plant.  It is funny how memories are such a part of our lives.  What is even more amazing is how our memories work, what is it that we remember?  Is it all truth or is it fashioned by what we want to believe to be a truth?

No “right” and No “wrong”

I think that one of the best things about writing is that it gives us a place to let go of perfection and celebrate uniqueness.  There is no “right” or “wrong” choice, no perfect color or paper or word choice-only what fits the page we have in mind.
